Questions & Answers

Does the train operate at Flemington outside of race day?

The train only operates as a private service outside race days. Your Event Sales Executive can assist you with making these arrangements however there are costs that are applicable from Metro Trains.

Do you have car parking on site and what is the charge?

Yes, we do have car parking on site over 5,000 spaces and it is complimentary to all function guests.

Can we use the big screen that is in the centre of the track?

Yes, this is referred to as our Super Screen as it is two storeys’ high. There are charges however your Event Sales Executive will be able to send you our Super Screen packages which contains all the information you need.

Who is your preferred audio visual supplier? Can we bring in our own audio visual company?

Solution RED is our in house audio visual supplier. A number of our venues also have in house equipment which is available for clients at a small charge. Your Event Sales Executive will be able to advise you if your venue has any inhouse audio visual. You may bring your audio visual provider however in most cases a technician on duty will be required.

Is standard furniture included within the venue hire charge?

Each venue has it’s own décor which is included in your venue hire charge. If you would like additional furniture we would be more than happy to assist as long as it is not being used for another function. If there are a large number of furniture movements required a charge may be applicable and your Event Sales Executive will advise you of these charges.

Can I have pre dinner drinks outside?

Yes, there are two outdoor locations for pre dinner drinks. Depending on what room is booked for your function, pre-dinner drinks and savouries can be served to your guests on the Members’ Lawn or in The Mounting Yard for an additional $250.00 (subject to weather conditions and availability).

Can we have your wedding ceremony at Flemington?

Yes, if you are having your wedding at Flemington you are welcome to conduct your wedding ceremony in the Mounting Yard or the Parade Ring (subject to availability). Surrounded by roses this area is a fabulous outside space for you and your guests to enjoy your ceremony. The cost to use the Mounting Yard or the Parade Ring for your ceremony is $500.00

Can we bring bottles of spirits?

Yes. These spirits will be served from behind the bar by the waiters to the guest tables in compliance with our liquor license. Corkage will be charged at $12 per bottle for only the bottles that are opened on the night.

Are chair covers, sashes, centrepieces and draping included in the cost?

No. All of these items are an additional cost. We have recommended suppliers that provide these items and we can give you their contact details for you to liaise with them directly.
