The Port Melbourne Yacht Club, anchored at water's edge, showcases some of Melbourne's best bay views.

It impresses from every angle.

The sailing boats lining the driveway invite guests to a sunnier space. The stunning, styled wave exterior reflects the heritage of the club. When lit for evening functions, the striking, silhouetted curves add to the anticipation.

Inside, the floor-to-ceiling glass windows bring spectacular views sailing into the large open plan space. This space can be arranged to suit your whim. Polished concrete floors, modern, minimalist furnishings and a moveable bar allow organisers to take full advantage of the views.

Outside, guests can soak up the sunlight on the large wooden deck moored against sliding glass doors.

Questions & Answers

Can wedding ceremonies be held on site?

Yes, ceremonies can be held on deck which overlooks Port Phillip Bay. If it is raining, the ceremony can be held inside the Yacht Club.

Can you arrive by boat?

No, unfortunately the tides are usually to low.

Are you able to have a marquee on the deck?

Yes, please speak to one of our Event Planners to request a quote from our preferred supplier. Additional charges apply.

What time is the venue licensed to?

In accordance with Victoria Liquor Licensing Regulations, all functions must conclude by 1.00 am, with all guests to fully depart the premises by 1.30 am.

Can we have a live band?

Yes, there are no sound restrictions in place.

Do you have a stage for the band?

No, the ceiling height is too low in the main dance floor area. We can create a floor plan that will allow for a stage. Please speak to one of our Event Planners for further information. Additional charges apply.

Can we access the beach?

Yes, beach access is available next to the front entrance. As the deck is built over water, however there is no access from deck of the Yacht Club to the beach.

Is there accommodation nearby?

Yes, there is limited accommodation within walking distance of the venue. We recommend that guests stay in Melbourne’s CBD, or St Kilda.  Your Function Manager on the evening can organise taxis if required.
