Environment and sustainability
Peter Rowland Catering places a high priority on issues relating to the maintenance and care of the environment. Our suppliers sourced based on their ability to provide produce that is, where possible locally sourced and environmentally sustainable. Peter Rowland Catering’s objective is to maintain a minimum of 95% of its food and beverage product from suppliers within Australia or New Zealand, with a priority to showcase Victorian producers.
Throughout the operations of each event, every effort to limit the company’s impact on the local environment is maintained, particularly with the implementation of low environmental impact cleaning products and waste removal companies whose policies include eco-friendly processing of waste materials.
Compliance with onsite regulations at our sites and venues is taken seriously to limit the environmental impact.
Staff training includes following waste procedures applicable to each site, venue and event.
We are recognised by the Melbourne Convention & Visitors Bureau as a green caterer and were the first Melbourne based caterer to be awarded Green Credentials.
