Gardens House – Shiu & Mun-Yi
Shiu & Mun-Yi’s wedding day began traditionally with a tea ceremony at Mun-Yi’s parents house. With the bride in an embroidered crimson gown and the groom sporting a sharp black suit, the couple presented their elders with tea in return for customary red packets to signify the parents’ blessing of the upcoming nuptials.Under the glorious Summer sun and surrounded by lush greenery, the couple exchanged vows at one of the most exclusive Melbourne venues, Gardens House. In what was an intimate ceremony, these gorgeous high-school sweethearts, brimming with love, sealed their future together.
When it came to styling the impressive marquee Shiu wanted to keep it fresh and vibrant, opting for simple arrangements in bold colours and kaleidoscopic paper lanterns to compliment the surrounding grounds. Shui carefully chose every last detail of her perfectly simplistic marquee, from the furniture to the flatware and everything in between. With the help of Victoria Whitelaw and the dedicated event planner at Gardens House, they pulled off a seamlessly styled wedding that would be the envy of many a visual designer.
In the words of the beaming groom, the day was filled with “beautiful weather, beautiful friends and a beautiful bride”
As the sun began to set on the balmy summer evening, guests sat down to enjoy a delicious feast of nori crusted salmon, beef medallions and succulent lamb racks, followed by a decadent Burch and Purchesse wedding cake, all before dancing the night away under the stars. Shui & Mun-Yi embarked on their next big adventure under the stars, heading to Finland, on their honeymoon, to see the Northen Lights.
Congratulations and thank you for letting us be such a big part of your wedding day.
