Wedding of the Month – Rippon Lea – Naomi & Krishna

There are so many different types of love; First love, that is so marvellous it’s all you can think about, the best friend kind of love, filled with laughter and playful shenanigans, and of course deep enduring love, the love that your Grandfather brings home along with a bunch of flowers for your dear Grandmother. Naomi and Krishna seem to have found the perfect balance between all three, so full of love and wonderment that it is hard not to adore them.

The couple met on RSVP and it was love at first quirky ‘screen name’. Three years on that hasn’t changed a bit. Plenty of smiles and even more laughter set the tone for their big day, and as Naomi was walked down the aisle by her Mum, it was clear to everyone that Krishna was the happiest man alive. At the end of the aisle, the couple they shared an endearing fist bump and laughed their way through their vows.

After many a beverage and several games of coights, bocce and croquet (with an impromptu lightsaber fight thrown in for good measure) in the late Summer sun, guests made their way into the stunningly decorated Grand Ballroom of Rippon Lea. When on the hunt for Melbourne wedding venues Naomi wanted a space that had plenty of old world charm and vintage glamour to compliment the style she had in mind. Rippon Lea was a perfect fit.

As the night progressed guests were treated to many heart-stirring moments. Naomi surprised her new husband by having a song she had written for him performed and Krishna surprised her right back by serenading her with “I can’t take my eyes off you”. The couple then dazzled their guests with a choreographed mashup of songs including the Hokey Pokey, You Can’t Touch This and Jai Ho. To top off the incredible evening the bride and groom shared a heart warming toast with their guests using champagne plucked straight from the opulent tower Naomi made as a visual feature.

There could not have been a more fitting celebration for such a fun loving and passionate couple, and we thank them for letting us share it.
