World’s Longest Lunch with Peter Rowland Group
Peter Rowland Group were proud to be the Event Partner and Official Caterer to the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival World’s Longest Lunch
After a year on pause, it was great to get back to events in Melbourne and celebrate this years ‘Bank of Melbourne World’s Longest Lunch’ – the signature event of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. We loved collaborating with this years guest chefs Philippe Mouchel (@pmouchel), Jacques Reymond (@jacquesreymond) and the amazing Stephanie Alexander (@growcookeat).
The Melbourne Food and Wines Festival’s World’s Longest Lunch is arguably one of the best events on the Melbourne calendar. This year over 1,800 people gathered in the Treasury Gardens to celebrate what really was the return to events in Melbourne, It marked the largest event gathering outside a sporting event since the pandemic postponed the festival 12 months prior.
This years three course menu kicked off with a crowd favourite, Beetroot cured Ora king salmon, fennel salad, champignons à la Grecque, roasted baby beetroot, and spiced almond crumble created by @pmouchel and expertly prepared and delivered by the Peter Rowland team.
We always relish the opportunity to work with Jacques Reymond (@jacquesreymond). For the main course we prepared and served Jacque’s Duck a l’orange black rice, orange segments, choy sum, snow pea tendrils, and orange duck jus.
The magnificent Stephanie Alexander (@growcookeat) created this Pear and Brown Butter Tart with Sapore ice cream to finish off the three course menu.
